Renting cars on Disney property

Do any of the rental car companies have a facility on Disney property? We are considering using ME for our next vacation but may want to take a run to the grocery store early in the trip for a few things. Instead of having a rental car for a week, I thought it would be cost effective to rent a car just for a day if you could do that on Disney property.

I've never seen one... only at or near the airport. I pack the food we want in our suitcases... a case of water, breakfast bars, juice boxes, popcorn... we usually use it all up and then we have extra space to carry home all the stuff we buy.

i had the same question, we need to make a walmart run. My son was accepted into the College program, and we wanted to head down for a few days early to spend some time together, considering he will be there for 8 months. So we just needed a car for 2 days, one to make the walmart run, and another to be able to get him and all his stuff to the living complex.
So i would like to know if they have any transportation to the car care center also.?

It appears there is shuttle service to the car center. This is from WDW website. I too have reserved a car from the on site National car rental and had just assumed there would be some way to get there. Hadn't really occurred to me that transportation might not be provided.

Alamo® Rent A Car, the Official Rental Car of the Walt Disney World® Resort, is conveniently located at the Orlando International Airport and at the Car Care Center near the parking exit of the Magic Kingdom® Park. For Emerald Club customers, National Car Rental® is also located at the Car Care Center. Shuttle service to and from your location is provided seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Holiday hours may vary.) Shuttle service should be scheduled at least one hour in advance. Call (407) 824-3470† for shuttle service and reservations.

In addition to the info about National/Alamo:
Avis also has a courtesy shuttle that will pick you up and return you to your WDW (or other nearby) hotel. Their rental location is the Hilton on Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
