Renting A Van For Florida.

Hi. just wandering if anyone has rented a van to drive down to Florida from Ontario? We are not to sure if our's will make the trip. I think that DH would be too worried about driving a rental down but if there is not too many concerns? We love the drive compared to flying, there would be five of us too.

We rented an van from Hertz and drove from Peterbough Ontario. I also got Aeroplan points for my rental. We put on 5,750 kilometres for the DisneyWorld trip.

Unlimited kilometres, cost $600.00 for gas, and just under $600.00 for the van rental.

We are flying this time from Syracuse on Jet Blue one way adult ticket $84.00 US down, and $84.00 US back. Total for 3 adults $567.00 US. Direct flight we will be there in 2 hours instead of 2 days.

With 5 it might be cheaper to drive but you have to factor in driving time, overnight hotels, and meals plus gas it going up all the time too. The most we paid US was $3.39 per gallon, the lowest $2.99 per gallon.
