renting a car/how to get to car care center

Can someone tell me how I would get from my resort (POR) to the car care center to rent a car for one day and how about getting back?

We are looking to do the same thing during our stay.
I have heard and I am trying to confirm that National will provide a shuttle service to resort guests. As soon as I verify I will post.

The Car Care Center is run by Alamo (which is now owned by National). Just give them a call and a shuttle will pick you up at your resort (I believe this also includes return to your resort when you bring the car back). The phone for the Car Care Center is (407)824-3470.

Do you know if they will take your lugguge when they pick you up? I am in need of a car to leave Disney and head to the beach and am in search of the easies route possible.. Thanks

I'm not sure, but I believe they do. The shuttles are similar to the ones at the airports.

Of course, you coud go get the car, then go back to the hotel to pick up your luggage, but I believe that's exactly what you're trying to avoid!

There is no reason why they can't take your luggage. I usually call for shuttle from hotel day before i have rental. they pick me up at hotel and bring me to car care center. to return I usually just drive to car care center drop off car and have them give me ride to ttc and i hop monerail to mk. they will take me to hotel if i so choose.
