Renting a 7 passenger vehicle from Toronto to Orlando

I am looking to rent a 7 or more passenger vehicle from Toronto (Oshawa) to Orlando.

We are leaving August 3 and returning August 18, 2007.

I have been trying to find some rates, however it is a bit difficult as many of the rental agencies don't rent for 7 or over.

Does anyone have any ideas they can throw my way????

Obviously I am trying to find a good rate...lol

I'm sorry, I don' t know about renting a van for seven, but be super sure that where ever you rent from allows you to drive into the US. Not all rental companies do...

We rented once a van from an actual dealership ( Chrysler) I belive to that was a hudge passenger van. Perhaps try your local dealership and see what they can do. Also what about renting like a RV?

When we were looking for a van we were going to rent a Dodge Grand Caravan (or similar) from Avis and it seats 7. They are about the cheapest company I found in Canada that actually lets you leave the country with the rental

We are renting a mini van going from TO to Florida and the only good deal that LETS you go into the US is National and no ristrictions as ALOT of places I called WONT let you go into the US or all the way to FL. I found National rental from July 26th to Aug 7th and we are paying $999 and change we have an Entertainment Coupons plus the rate I got when I called and Ulimited KM which we would need as well as at times its 2500km which isnt alot

I always book with Alamo when I go to Florida using the COSTCO discount code 675899 which includes a free additional driver that is normally $8.00 a day extra. Total from Oshawa from Aug 3 - 18th is $1037.12 CAN including taxes and unlimited mileage. Check if you have a credit card for collision coverage or call your broker and get a rider added to policy for $30.00 a year. If you buy collision coverage from rental company it is at least $25.00 a day extra. By the way when I rented in Florida they did not ask or my Costco card. Maybe in Oshawa they will but not sure. Check out www.alamo.ca and you can drive into US from Canada.

BUT make sure that they let you drive to Florida as I called some places and they will let us into the US but wouldnt allow you to drive to Florida OR into New York City so some have specific rules as you have to let them know that you are driving into the US so they can make it onto your rental incase any problems
