Rental of Points question

This is something I never expected to have to ask. Don't like giving up points for any reason, but not possible for me to use these in this use year.

I have number removed points which I banked from date and must be used by date removed. I'm not sure what to do with these points so I thought I might be able to rent them to someone who needs them.
My home resort is removed, but I guess they could be used elsewhere if you can get in.

Any ideas if this is something I should be doing? And if so, what is a fair rental price for both myself and the renter. I'm not looking to make money on these, just to break even is fine for me.

for such a small number of pts, you'd probably need to combine them with some current pts to be able to book a reservation.

how much to rent for depends on how much you paid originally plus your annual dues. pts generally rent for $10-12 per pt.

keep in mind that if the renter trashes the villa or leaves credit card charges unpaid, you may be responsible for covering that. be careful about who you rent to.

i'm not sure what the minimum number of pts david will broker for you, but that may be worth looking into. you don't have enough posts to rent on the DIS without paying an additional fee, but you can still use ebay or something.

if you have family or friends in FL, it might be easier just to give them lodging at wdw rather than deal with renting...your call.

Family in FL is a consideration.
I've offered them to my kids who all have DVC membership and they're already full up. Brothers are also done for this year.
I may be able to donate to the FL crew though.
