I can get a good non-stop charter price into Sanford, but I'm not sure about car rentals. Most of the codes don't seem to be helping when I plug them in for 1st week of Dec. Has anyone had luck with rentals from there, and which rental companies are the most convenient to use. Best I could find so far was with National for about 260 (includes tax) for 8 days intermediate. Thanks.

what may be the problem is you are booking for the first week of December, and many of the current specials expire before then. I'd suggest booking your best deal now and just keep checking back. Be sure to sign up at the rental agency's website for their specials newletters so you will be alerted when a special becomes available that you can use.

I went during that time last year and national was $99 for 5 days including taxes , I had reserved an economy car ( geo metro ) because it was only me, but when I picked up the car they gave me a Chevy Malibu for the same price.
Dollar also has good prices and it's in the terminal. You may want to try Avis also.

Once our flight from ABE to SFB was finalized I began checking on rentals that are in terminal on a weekly or biweekly basis. Also when codes came out I'd plug them in. Cheapest for 8 days ( full size) so far is Dollar at $252 all extra charges included. I'll keep checking right up to day before trip and hope for a drop.:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

You may want to try with and without codes, sometimes it's cheaper not using any codes at all , but keep checking.
