Rental Cars free if renting DVC points?

Hi everyone!

I'm in the very early stages of trying to plan a trip to Hawaii. I know I want to stay at Aulani for at least a portion of my trip. I've read that Aulani allows rental cars for free if you are staying in a DVC. While I am not a DVC member, I was looking into renting DVC points to stay. Would I still be eligible for free parking in this case?

Disney Vacation Club Members staying on a points reservation can enjoy convenient self-parking at no daily charge for up to 2 vehicles.

Yes - anyone staying on a points reservation gets free parking. If you are renting or were gifted points but don't own, free parking. If you own but are paying cash, no free parking.
