Hi all, could you give me some insight on which way to go with this? We're still trying to figure out all our transportation options. I'd like to avoid driving 2000 miles r/t (go figure) so we'll have to make it somewhat economical to convince the dh, but we also want to balance convenience since we'll have a 7year old,4 year old, and 12 month old with us, and you don't mess with that.
Assuming we fly:
We could take ME and take Disney Transpotation everywhere. But we love the convenience of a car to go resort to resort and get home for naps with the kids, etc. How much are cabs? Do they wait at the parks or do you always call them? And can you get them with car seats? I assume if you needed one with car seats, you'd have to call, but does anyone know for sure? How long after you call are they there? I would so love not to schlep car seats, so that might be very attractive, and actually save money, since we won't need cabs terribly often.
We could rent a car, but I'm having a hard time finding a rate I like right now. Last time we rented from Thrifty, but were not so thrilled as they really tried to upsell us after not having our car after waiting in line after waiting forever for the shuttle. So who do you rent from? And is EA at National free to join, because that sounds good. Can you usually count on getting at least a four door on EA?
Okay, that's lots of questions, but to sum up, which way would you go? Can I make ME and cabs work with 3 kids? And if not, how did you all get such cheap rates at decent places for rentals?
Thanks in advance!
