The Dis helped me back in October 2006 with a GREAT :cool1: price on a rent a car! It was too good to be true and I guess I am just hoping it can happen again. I think we paid $104.00 for over a week! Someone actually put my dates in and worked the whole thing out for me!! That sweet Diser:cloud9: .

We are flying in and out of Ft Myers Florida June 2nd thru the 11th. The lowest I have gotten was thru Costco @ $216.00 TOTAL for a full size car.
Do you think this is as good as it will get?

Ideas? Opinions? Sugeestions?

I don't make a vacation move anymore without checking with my DIS friends!

Wish I could help. I have been looking since Janurary for one of those great deals on a car for May 27 - June 5. Best I have gotten is the orginal booking with Dollar using the KISS code for a compact at $192.17. I sure was hoping for something less but the prices have just gone up:confused3

That's not a bad price for a full-size car for a week. But be sure you keep checking the price, its not uncommon for them to change. Just in the past two weeks alone, I've been able to re-book my TPA rental for May and save substantially.

I have been trying for a van for two weeks in July and can not get a break. Still hoping that things will change for the better. Good Luck.

I checked hotwire for you and it was $227 so you probably have a good rate there!

Thanks! Only deal I got better was Entertainment book. Saved another 35 cents!:rotfl2:

We are flying to Ft. Myers mid July (heading down to Naples) and I am also having a hard time finding a good rate for the week. What is Costco?

Costco is like Sam's club? It is a wharehouse club. We are going to Naple's too but I want to drive to Disney for two days (my 40th birthday). If you have an Entertainment book it was the same deal as Costco.

It looks like a pretty good rate. If I were you I would try Priceline, you should be able to grab a full/suv for $20-23/day.
