RENTAL CAR VS DISNEY TRANSPORTATION

We’re staying at ASMovies 4/18-4/24 2 adults 2 toddlers (2&1). Considering renting a car vs using Disney transportation. Pros: not having to wait on magical express, midday breaks not having to wait on buses Cons: being held at the toll plaza at rope drop. Please tell me which you would choose and why. A rental car plus parking fees would be about $400 for the stay, but anything that makes it easier for me with my kids is typically worth it. Unfortunately a different resort if just too much out of budget for us.

We love having a car with 3 small kids, just for the flexibility. The exception is when going to Magic Kingdom (unless we're at a resort with direct boat, etc) because even if you drive there, you still have to go through the TTC and deal with the boat or monorail. At that point it's just easier to have one bus ride.

With that young of kids, I would think having a car would be much easier. From hauling strollers and all the things needed with young kids, to being able to leave if the kids need it.
As mentioned, the only park I wouldn't drive to would be MK.
While you will be held up entering the parks too early by driving, I think it is offset by not having to be out waiting for a bus an hour before the parks open.

I would rent a car especially right now. It's a great to be able to remove the mask once you are in the car after wearing it for hours along with all of the other reasons above.

3 out of 5 days we are going to magic kingdom. We may go ahead a rent, try to drive ourselves the first day to MK and decide if it’s worth it for our other 2 days there.
