Rental car to Port Canaveral, what's the best you've found?

We are looking to rent a car from MCO to the Port in Cape Canaveral. I'm trying to get a feel for what other's have gotten as far as price goes. Anybody want to share their experience and prices?

I already booked a full size from MCO to Cape Canaveral in October without any discount codes for $44 which I thought was pretty decent. I'll keep watching to see if any codes show up I can use because Budget doesn't penalize you for canceling and rebooking. And from everthing I've read it's one of the easiest places to return your car at the port and they supposedly have a great shuttle service. I'll find out in 9 months.

We had a $35 rate for last October through Budget. They have a shuttle that runs to the port. It worked out great. When you drop the car off there will likely already be people there to pick cars up. You may have a wait in line to drop the car off, so give yourself some extra time.

I used thrifty for a one day rental for my upcoming october 2011 cruise. We are paying $47 for a midsize oct 15th noon-october 16th noon. But, will keep looking for a better price. The drop off fee is higher to renting from port to mco, so on the way home we will take disney transportation for $70 for 2ppl.


tried out the above budget code and also got 47 for a one day rental.... however returning to mco i got 40 bucks...so i reserved that,,,thanks

We just used AVIS on 1/15. We had a mid-size car and believe we paid roughly $50. We found this to be less expensive than a car service or paying for transfers from the cruise lines.

Like others have said, AVIS has also has a free shuttle to the port. Very convenient.

We booked a minivan from Budget at Port Canaveral which we will keep for Thursday and Friday at Universal and return to MCO on Saturday for $101. Even considering the cost to park at Royal Pacific in Universal it is still cheaper than a limo or cab from Port Canaveral to Royal Pacific and from the Royal Pacific to the airport.
