We are doing a one-way rental between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale for our October WDW/Vero Beach vacation. I see from the FLL website that they have a central car rental pick up/return area with a pedestrian bridge to Terminal 1 (that's where our flight will depart from).

Does anyone have a feel for how long it takes to return a rental and walk across to terminal 1? Just want to have a general idea in the back of my mind so we can better plan when to arrive at the airport.

Thanks!

Time to return depends how fast your company is... to get to terminal one (i think that's the one connected to it, but i'm not 100%) you just need to cross the 4-lane roadway.

15 minutes should be plenty, IMO. Especially since you don't have to worry about the shuttle to the other terminals.
