We will be renting a car for the first part of our trip (Cocoa Beach), then driving to ASMusic. Where is the closest place to return our rental car? We don't have one booked yet, so any advice on who to rent a car through would also be appreciated. Thanks! :)

It would depend on what company you use to rent from. Alamo and National both are located at the Dolphin resort. You can also use Alamo at the Car Care Center in WDW, by the entrance to MK. There are many rental companies that have counters in the DTD hotels. And some of them will send a shuttle to pick you up, or to take you back to your resort.

Going along with this......We wanted to rent a car after we already get to the hotel for 1 or 2 days only, what's the best/easiest way for us to do this?? We would probably be returning the car on the day we leave and taking ME to the airport

Thanks! :)

Hi...If you want a car at the Dolphin WDW Hotel you have to pre book them, chance of just going in and getting one is slim to no chance, i was out last November and called in to get one (ALAMO) and told pre book only, checked the other desks and all were the same, went back to my villa went on line and booked it and then went back to the hotel and got it a few hours later.

Anyone know where I can find the number for the Dolphin ALAMO?? Also,do they offer any kind of transportation to get there to pick up and/or drop off?

The Alamo at the Car Care Center will shuttle you over. To pick up at Alamo at the Dolphin, you can take Disney transportation to MGM and either walk or take the boat to the Dolphin.

I don't know a specific phone number for the desk there. The Dolphin's main number is (407) 934-4000. They might be able to connect you if you need to talk to a live person about something. But as far as reservations, there is Alamo's 800 number or use their website to reserve.

The reason you can't do a walk-in is the that the cars are kept in the hotel's valet lot, so they limit how many cars are there. The valet brings you your car, and if you drop it off there you leave it with the valets as well.
