Rental car return at Car Care Center or Dolphin?

We are staying off-site the first week and will need a rental car. For the second week, we'll be on-site, so we are thinking of dropping the rental car to save a couple hundred dollars.

If I rent from Alamo, I can return the car to the Car Car Center or the Dolphin. Which would be easier to do? Is there transportation from the Car Care Center to any of the parks or resorts?

The Car Care Center has a shuttle. I don't know where the shuttle will take you. It might take you anywhere. I'd check with Alamo and find out.

What I always do is return the car to the Dolphin and walk from there to Epcot International Gateway. It's also possible to catch a boat there, or walk or take the boat to MGM.

If you're at the Dolphin, you can also take a Disney bus from there to MK or AK. If you want to go to a resort that isn't an Epcot resort, walk or boat to MGM from the Swolphin and take a resort bus there.

We dropped off our car at the car care center (stayed at the Poly) - a shuttle immediately brought DH back to the hotel. So fast, in fact, that I thought he hadn't left yet! We used National which also operates out of the car care center and Dolphin. By the way, we got a better rate at National compared to Alamo, used the Emerald Aisle service, got an upgrade too! The lines at Alamo to rent a car where VERY long. If I were you, I'd check out National rates to compare. I'd deal with them again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the information! We used National last time and noticed the difference in lines. So far this time, I've found much lower rates at Alamo, but I'll keep checking as we get closer. We aren't going until August.
