Rental Car Question-After the Cruise

Hi all,
I have been thinking about extending our honeymoon a couple of days longer (why go home on a Thursday??). We will not have a rental car for the first leg of our trip (6 nights AKL, 4 day cruise) as the transportation will be provided by Disney.
My boggle is this: I have looked online and can't seem to find information about nearbye rental car agencies. I am sure we could make something work but if we are going to extend the trip I do not want to be waiting at the dock with my thumb sticking up, hoping somebody will notice. Anyone out there with post cruise rental car experience? Thanks in advance for your help.

Budget is about 1.5 miles from the DCL terminal, and that's the closest you're gonna get ... I think you can make arrangements to have their shuttle pick you up there, but I'm not 100% sure.

There are several rental agencies in Cocoa Beach area near the port and they have shuttles at the port when you get off the ship. Budget is the closest to the port and have a shuttle. We used them this last Jan and had no problems. Grab the shuttle to Budget, rent a vehicle and your off. My guess is that you would want a reservation, otherwise you may end up without a vehicle. I'm sure all the agencies near the port go through a lot of vehicles when the cruise ships come.

we have used hertz and budget after our cruise. make a reservation in advance and they will have their courtesy van there to pick you up after the cruise. the whole process of being picked up and taken to the rental office and getting the car takes less than an hour, more like 45 mins. or less and your on your way.

I just used budget on the May 8th cruise. Once your off the ship, head over to the parking lot across the street and look for the tent to your left. Head over there and wait, budget will automatically come to pick you up. We didn't have to call anyone. We waited only 10min or so and their lot is just down the street...

We've have Budget booked for our December cruise. They are very convienent and they were the least expensive.

Hello:
We used Budget before and after this May 16th cruise. The service was great and the price even better. After the cruise we didn't have to wait, there was a driver waiting for us and we picked the other car inmediatly...les tha half an hour (since the car rental is about 10 minutes from the ship). Hope you have a wonderfull honeymoon... you are certainly begginning with the right foot

We just returned from our Disney cruise last night. We used Hertz and would highly recommend it. They were there waiting for us when we got off the ship and the whole process could not have been easier.
