We are looking for a rental car place to get a car from for a day or two that is within walking distance to the parks, or a short bus ride away... We are taking a trip to DL for 5 to 7 days next month, but the rates from the LGB airport are ridiculous!!! I am only going to need it for a few days... Anyways, I have heard that there is one somewhere close, but I can't remember who or where it was. Any help would be appreciated! :thumbsup2

The hotels can usually rent one out for you - I know we did this at the Hyatt in '02. Or just look up Priceline forthe zipcode?

we are using hertz, they have a courtesy pick up and drop off so we don't have to worry about where it is. I'm sure other rental car companies offer this service too.

As said earlier, some of the hotel properties have rental car offices. There is also an Alamo office in Downtwon Disney.

I knew about this offer that they give, but was really confused about it the last time we went to LGB. We had a car reserved thru Hertz and they wouldn't come pick us up from the airport, we had to take a taxi since there was already a Hertz at the airport. We went with the "off site" one because the airport Hertz was over 3 times as much!:scared1: So I was thinking how we could save money by flying into LAX, taking the DL Express and then getting a car while we were in DL and only the days we needed. Would that work? Anyone know which car places are on Harbor that won't charge an arm and a leg for a couple days? Any thoughts would be appreciated!:wizard:

Really - your best bet is to hunt online bc they change rates so quickly & so often. Personally - I feel getting involved in LAX at all is a PITA so getting my own car for the week would be beneficial for my peace of mind.....but back when we stayed at the Hyatt we rented a car for just 1 day to get us to the beach.
It was cost effective & very easy. I mean, if you get the economy option, you can pay a really low daily price. Call your hotel & see if they offer those services, having the hotel do the work for you is really worth it IMO.
