Rental car pick up in WDW and return at universal--possible?

I have read the sticky and the board, and can't find a solution. Please help!
We will be at WDW this June and will need a car to to go to discovery cove, and then on to Universal studios for a few days. Is it possible to
Pick up a rental car ( dh is at conference at swan and dolphin, so using the Alamo/ national service would be ideal) from WDW, and then returning it at universal ( staying at the royal pacific resort).

I called national and was told there is not a shuttle that would drop you off at your resort, only for a pick up (but this was after the agent told me there was no counter at the S and D) so I don't know if this is accurate.

Any help would be appreciated. This is our first time leaving the WDW property to for new adventures, and this transportation piece has me stressed out!

Only if there is a rental location at Universal.
Otherwise you will have to drop it off at the nearest location and take a cab back to Universal

I just discovered there is a Hertz counter at the RPR...what is the best/easiest way to get a car from hertz while on WDW property?

There are several Hertz options at WDW.

Hertz has a location on Highway 192 near Disney's Animal Kingdom: https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/location/ORLR19

Hertz also has a location at the Gaylord Palms Resort near ESPN Wide World of Sports: https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/location/unitedstates/florida/kissimmee/ORLR05

When I checked a few years ago, both locations offered pick-up and drop-off on WDW property during their business hours.

You might want to check with both locations to see which offers the best rates and the most convenience for a one-way rental to Loews Royal Pacific Resort or Loews Portofino Bay at Universal Orlando Resort.

There also a number of other Hertz locations near WDW that are likely to serve WDW guests.

Thank you for the help! I will check out those branches. I did go back to the sticky and found the Disney Kissimmee branch, called them, and an agent said they are only 10-15 minutes from the Poly.
