We are headed to Disneyland (and California in general) for the first time in June. Flying into LAX. We have a rental car booked through Costco with Budget. I understand that none of the rental car places are at LAX...that you have to take a shuttle to get the rental car.

We are a family of 5, with three kids (14, 7 and 5). Is it best for all of us to go together to get the rental car. Or should, for example, DH go get the rental, I stay at airport with kids, then DH comes back to airport to pick us up. We arrive at 10:30am on a Friday if that makes a difference.

For the flight home we booked Lansky so this is only an issue for arrival.

Thanks!

WE have picked up a rental car with the LAX shuttle. It was very easy. We all stayed together to go for the car. Plenty of room for people and luggage on the shuttle. I sure wouldn't have wanted to find my way back into LAX to pick up my family.

That’s what I assumed But we weren’t sure! I’ve never dealt with the rental cars being offsite from the airport before.

I was worried about having to fly into LAX and get a rental car instead of Burbank last October.
I was extremely pleased at how easy it ended up being. In fact I'd do it again if the fares to LAX were less than BUR.

The traffic driving back into LAX can be absolutely horrid and gridlock around the airport.

Everyone take the shuttle without a doubt especially with those ages. Each company has their own dedicated shuttle with a driver that will assist you. It is not every person hops on one consolidated rental car bus

+1 go together, traffic can be nuts getting back to the terminal depending on the day

yeah, I'd never head back to LAX if I didn't need to.

Stay together. Traffic can be horrible there and if one of goes to get the car while the others stay, it could take forever for them to get back to you with the rental car.
