Ok, I'm getting nervous...Do I need to worry about Budget not having the car I reserved when I get into MCO on Sunday Am?

I keep reading that there are limited or no cars available (due to conventions, FEMA, HHN,and MNSS...). We are flying into MCO but need to drive to Sarasota on Sunday so the alternate transportation idea (ie taxi) does not work for us. We have reserved a full size car because mid-week when we return to Orlando, we are picking up friends at MCO, so there will be 4 adults with luggage on the return trip.
Any help would be appreciated as my stomach is now in knots and this is supposed to be a vacation, not cause more stress.
thanks

The only one we've had a problem with has been Avis, and I wouldn't even consider it a "problem." We just had to wait a little while they brought a car from another location. That has happened twice, and it was a lot closer to the hurricane aftermath. This past weekend, we used L & M and there appeared to be cars (not tons, but enough). If they don't have your size, Budget is great about upgrading you.

We're getting in Saturday night & have a full size w/Budget too. Glad to hear they are good about upgrades - I was getting nervous too!

Doesn't it stink to get more stressed out pre-vacation w/all the little last minute details? I hope to unwind quickly once we're there! Have a safe trip!

We got a great rate for a weekly rental from Dollar. The rate has more than doubled since I booked it. I hope we don't get "bumped" from getting a car...

I've never tried it but am tempted to ... if a car rental agency did not honor my reservation I would give them a reasonable time to come up with a car and if they did not I would tell them I would find alternate transportation and hold them responsible for the difference in cost.

By booking with nationwide rental companies you can force the issue of compensation after you get back home (in a city where they have an agency) as opposed to having to do all the dealings near WDW.
