Rental Car from Poly

Hi, Can you rent a car for the day at Poly, we arrive on Thursday but want to go to SW on Saturday.

There is no rental car place at the Polynesian however there is an Alamo and National rental car area at the Magic Kingdom Car Care Center, which is located just 2 minutes away from the Polynesian.

We've rented a car from the Disney Car Care when staying at the Polynesian. The bell desk even called over to National and they came and picked us up at the Polynesian. Just be sure to get good directions from the Car Care Center back to the resort. I wound up going in a circle for about 10 minutes!

Also, if you are only going to SeaWorld, there is a Lynx bus from the TTC. According to the schedule on golynx.com, it takes about half an hour to get there by bus. It would certainly save you money and probably would not be a whole lot more time consuming.

Just a quick question about the pick up - We're planning on renting a car on a day where we change resorts. Can we take our luggage with us? Or do we go pick up the car, go back to our first resort with the rental, grab our luggage and then onto the second?

National picked us up in a regular airport type van. So I imagine you could just take your luggage with you when you go to pick-up the rental care at the Car Care Center.

National is no longer at the Car Care Center, only at the Dolphin and Buena Vista Palace.
Alamo is at the car care center and the Dolphin.

We were just there in May and caught the Lynx #50 bus from the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) which is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Poly. The bus lets you off at a bus stop next to the parking lot which you must cross to the entrance. On the return trip, there is a bus stop across the street that takes you back to the TTC (or Downtown Disney also).

I would allow an hour to get there because the Lynx bus picks up every 30 minutes at TTC and if you miss it, you might have to wait about 30 minutes for the next one. However, the morning pickup does begin about 7:30 or 8 I believe. Also, the last Lynx pickup from Seaworld is at 9:54, so you would need to make sure you are out of the park to get it.

The cost was 1.50 for me and 75 cents for the two granchildren, one-way.
A total of $6.00 for the three of us.
