Rental car from MCO and drop off @port ?

My Brother lives 2hrs from MCO. Would we be able to rent a car when we land, spend the night at his house and then drop the car off at the port?
Which agencies do you reccomend ?

Dave's site www.dcltribute.com is the best source for car rental info, including the codes you need for the locations. We have rented from Budget and Avis several times and it works just great.

Yep. We've done this every time. This latest trip, we used Budget, and they were great. We've used Hertz and Avis in the past too. Just get the best rate, cause they are all pretty good in my opinion.

One thing to note, is particularly for your return car, be sure to actually reserve the size/type of vehicle you want. DH is a Hertz gold member, and he's always given an automatic upgrade. Well, since Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral isn't an airport location, they typically only have the cars to meet the reserved needs. Last trip, a fellow DISer tried to upgrade when his luggage wouldn't fit in the mid-size they had reserved, and nothing was available.

What is the drop off city for the port ?
I looked at Budget and I didn't see Port Canaveral .
Would it be Coco beach?

I ususally type in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach and it'll come up.

Cape Canaveral is the name of the budget location to drop at the port before your cruise. I booked online and it is available to select from the dropdown list.

We used Budget. They were a little slow at Cocoa beach but I imagine they are dealing with a lot of traffic with ships unloading and loading at the same time. The service at the airport was excellent.

For Budget use Pick up MCO and drop off CC5 yes it is cocoa beach.. We use them all the time. They even have a shuttle van to and from the port to their location, about 5-10 minutes away if that....
