Rental car at dolphin

I need to pick up a rental car at the Dolphin Resort. I am staying at AKL. What is the fastest and/or best way to get there from the AKL?

The fastest way would be by taxi, however, if you take a bus from the AKL to the Animal Kingdom, you should be able to catch a bus to the Swan and Dolphin from there.

Alternatively, you can catch a bus from AKL to DHS and then take the friendship boats (they're not running right now) to Dolphin (it's the first stop).

There is also a walking path along the canal from DHS to the Dolphin. It's about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace.

Are you absolutely committed to renting your car at the WDW Dolphin?

Hertz has a facility on 192 near AKL. They'll pick you up at AKL and take you back after your rental. I've found the prices to be lower than renting at the Dolphin. (Your experience may be different depending on what rates you qualify for.)
