Rent a car to get groceries?

Hi experts! Have a question. We are going to WDW in October. Spending 1st 3 nights at AKL. Then transferring over to Saratoga Springs for 6 nights! Hooray!

Anyway, DH doesn't like to rent cars at Disney - he is tired and likes to vacation with no cars. I agree!

On the first day at SSR, however, I need to get groceries for the family. The pre-order groceries aren't the best option, bcs my family (me included!) are picky eaters. (sad but true!)

Should I rent a car for the day? Or, could I hire a cab for a few hours?

The cost isn't really a factor - time and convenience are more important. We save so much by eating in the condo anyway. Thanks!

If I were you, I would rent a car from Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center. They will come to your hotel and pick you up. You just have to call them a few hours before. After you are finished with your rental, they will shuttle you back to your hotel. It cost me $45.00 to rent a car for 3 hours. I could have kept it for a day and it would have been the same price.
