Renovations in the 50's and 60's section at Pop Century Resort?

Does anyone know if they have started renovations in the 50's and 60's section at the Pop Century Resort?

I do know they have done some in the 60's, not sure on the 50's.

But I do think they are about done or are done. There is a thread about POP's refurb in the reg resort forum. YOu probably could search it.

doing reservation there is not a big issue...if you are having some problems then you can go online and every single detail is available there...so i am sure you will not face any problem

I was at POP in the 50's section Oct 5th - 12th. We were in the jukebox section - at that time the 1st floor of the Lady section was all closed off and refurbishment was going on. Within 3 days that was done, and by friday the 8th, guests were in those rooms. Next was the top floor of the jukebox section - it was amazing to watch the production line of dressers, bedding, etc, coming out - Painters and new furnishings going in - and by the time I left most of those rooms were done. - So all this was a quick turnover - so that rooms are unoccupied for a short time. With all this going on - no guests were bothered by it. No worry about refurbishment going on.

Great!! Thanks for the details--I don't go til the first week of Dec, so I will be glad they are done with the 50's-- I really want to stay down by the lake!

I was in the Tramp building and it was renovated (early November)

We were there like 2 weeks ago...we stayed right by the big plato thing, by the flower pool and the only type of construction I saw was them working on the jungle boy and baloo.

I was there last friday - had a room in the 50's section - Jukebox - 3rd floor - looks like that's all done. In April I was in the Lady building in the 50's - that seemed all completed. I walked around the whole resort in April - I didn't notice any more refurbishments going on then, so they must be finished. We also stayed at Old Key West on this last trip (Came home today) - they had one section there that was being renovated. Our studio room was completed. If you really want to be sure - just call the front desk at Pop - someone there I'm sure would know if the whole resort is done.

All of the renovations were completed before the end of 2010.
