Renovated Poly rooms - what do you find to be the negatives if any?

If you have stayed in the renovated poly rooms, what do you find to be a negative if any? I have watched a few room tours on youtube and I am disappointed that there isn't a larger table or such, to pull up and eat at. For ex, like they used to have and the GF has the pull out nightstand snack tables. Is there something like this in the renovated Poly that I am missing? We sometimes wind up eating in the room and it seems this might be difficult with the lack of a table. Also, is the bathroom an issue? Like, it's great that the toilet is enclosed. That's a huge improvement but you really cant shower with the clear shower doors if you need privacy, if someone is using the toilet. Do any of the rooms have tubs, but they all have the clear shower doors I imagine? I love the rooms, don't get me wrong but the lack of a table feels like a negative to me.

We simply moved the tables like this. However you could move one next to the chair and or bring the chair over and sit opposite of the sofa with a bigger group.
Dd and I loved the room. Having the toilet in a separate room made things easier. It is what is though, glass shower doors changes everything with family sharing. So far all of the updated rooms have them. They look great but can be inconvenient.
I like the 3 way closets they are doing now and the coffee and fridge set up all together.

The little charging shelves next to the bed are the best!

I stayed in the room alone so have a slightly different perspective, but would have done what Trish did if with other people and moved the tables in front of the sofa, I just moved them closer to the arm chair and ate there since it was just me. However, if it were a family of 4 it would have been tight, at least in other rooms you have the desk thing that usually has a table that rolls out and we can have a few different seating configurations for in room dining, but those little tables would make it hard. With just myself my meals from Kona often took up most of one table, there is other end table next to the sofa but it's low and would be awkward. Overall that was the only downside, I loved the room, lots of storage and tons of room overall. Nice theme that wasn't too over the top, I had zero complaints during my stay (but again, was solo so didn't have to share the bathroom or the tables)

We used the little round tables for eating in the room too. They are heavy, but not so much that you can't move them around. I really liked the bench at the end of the bed - it was nice for sitting to put on shoes.

We still miss the ceiling fans they took out from the last remodel.

My room for 5 night stay at BLT with no ceiling fan and no sheet change because of staff shortage… finally called to ask for 6 pillowcases so I could change them (1adult/2 children in room)….and 2 housekeepers arrived to deliver 6 pillowcases. Weird staff / shortage problem ?
It was like sleeping in a locker room almost the air was beyond stale.

Why remove the ceiling fans ?

Maybe they could provide some trays for the room . I would get tired of moving those ugly little tables.

We loved the rooms. We also just moved the tables. The rooms are huge and we’re very comfortable

Wish the ledge next to the bed was larger and had cubby space like the refurb values do.
Just not good use of storage in general in my opnion.

Thanks. I realize you could use those but for the amount of space, I can't see why they would not have given at least the pull out snack tables. The 2 little round tables really could never work for a family of 4 or 5. I think they really dropped the ball with this. Unless their goal was to be "distinct" from the villas for that reason?

I stayed there for a couple of nights and found it to be very “cold”. It didn’t feel cozy. From the non carpeted floor that is greyish , to the white walls, it wasn’t for me. Unfortunately that’s the direction most of the resort refurbishments are going. If you are OK with that though, it’s got updated furniture and everything looks new. I actually found Grand Floridians room better even though they haven’t updated it in a while. The DVC rooms at the Polynesian are also better (even though they were recently changed and stripped of some color). If the pictures of the Polynesian room look good to you, you will enjoy it.
