So my 7 mos window is tomorrow! Going to book a 1 bedroom at OKW (will be our first visit there). Can anyone comment on the new flooring in the refurbished units? Have all units been refurbished? Is the " Pergo Flooring" only in the living room area? Is noise a problem?

All units have been rehabbed and there have been reports that the new floors are nosier.

I was awakened between 1:00 and 2:00 AM for 2 nights in a row when the upstairs neighbors got home and the kids were running across the living room floor. I don't really think the kids were doing anything out of the ordinary, but the new flooring just does not absorb sound like carpet does. The flooring is pretty nice looking and is probably cleaner than carpet but if I were you I would request a top floor (we can't because DH can't do stairs).

I stay in a one bedroom at OKW, three times a year for a week. I like the new floors because they look fresh and clean. I haven't noticed more noise.

Yes there is more noise. Carpeting helped absorb the noise whereas a room with hard surfaced flooring only helps resonate the sounds more. We noticed an increase in sound coming from within our unit (tv, talking, dishwasher, etc.) Also, they are not Pergo or laminate floors. They are a type of thick vinyl planking that resembles a wood laminate floor. Having said that, it really depends on who your neighbors are. We've stayed at OKW after the renovation and didn't notice our neighbors that much where before the renovation there were times we could hear a lot of noise. I can only imagine what it would be like today if those people were above us in the remodled rooms!
