Renew AP?

I bought the preferred annual pass last May for my two trips over the summer. Worked out great and saved a ton at the Loew's hotels. I did the flex option and was going to call Universal to see if I can renew my pass for $99 (paying all at once obviously). I have some concerns though.

1. I was planning on living in Orlando, so the pass made more sense. I live in Philly and have no idea if I'll use it beyond my trip to Orlando in June.

2. Can't afford the Loew's hotel's period, even with AP discount. So that doesn't help.

3. AP doesn't include the CityWalk party pass. I know we'll be doing that a few days as my boyfriend wants to.

4. Won't have a car, so parking discount doesn't help.

Part of me just says get the AP, sure it'll be a little more (20$ more, plus partypass). Maybe we'll make up for it with the food discount in the parks, though I doubt it. Who knows, maybe he'll love Universal and we'll go again before next June. I'd hate to let it lapse, then decide it would have been a good idea, as 99$ is a good deal. Any thoughts?

I think in your case, you would be better off to purchase the seven day tickets for $79.99 and let the AP go. You would get CityWalk access with a multiple day ticket so that would take care of CityWalk...and it's cheaper than renewing the pass.
