Remy ( ratatouile ) at Chefs de France

We saw Remy at Chefs last week. So cute and the lady was hysterical.

Can you explain the character interaction in more details. Do they visit every table or just an area of the restaurant? Is there a particular time-frame this happens or is it ongoing?

I'm really looking forward to this!

Do you have any photos? I'd love to see Remy! Did the cart stop at most tables? If we do eat at Chef's, I'm hoping to see Remy.

Sorry no photos at least right now. I think my DH snapped a couple but I'm not sure. The cart did not stop at any given table...rather she wheeled in between our table and a couple others and she started talking to all of us. Then she teased a young couple. I don't want to spoil it by describing it in any more detail. Then she moved to another area. A bit later she was in another section...we could tell by the laughter.

It is not like character interaction in the parks. Quite different.

I don't know what the time frame is nor would I count on it happening. More like one of the Disney magical moments that happen when you least expect it.

I don't think anyone asked last week. Everyone looked quizzical and then astonished. Finally everyone roared.

In fact, I would recommend that anyone reading about this keep it as a surprise from your children, spouse, partner, parents, etc.. The surprise was a big part of the experience.

Don't have a photo or link, but I'm sure not aware of any characters appearing at Chefs, unless you count the servers, who can be pretty entertaining in their own right.

Don't feel too badly. This isn't a character like in the parks or other restaurants, right? Rather a very small and amazing animatronic.

I haven't read Jim Hill but someone told me he said Remy wouldn't appear until this week...but we saw him last week.

A friend of mine was at Epcot yesterday and saw him there during lunch. I am hoping like crazy he'll be there for our dinner in two weeks!

It seems like all who've seen Remy did so at lunch. We're eating there for dinner next week.... anyone seen him at dinner? My family (and I) would love this!

We saw him at lunch last Thursday, too. I was really surprised as I hadn't heard anything about it until then. It was cute, but not something that I would book the restaurant for specifically. (The food, however, makes the restaurant more than worthwhile!!! We all loved our lunch.)

The cart didn't stop at every table, but seemed to be concentrated on tables with kids. It did stop right next to us and the lady had Remy turn around so DH could snap his picture. (I haven't downloaded our pics to the computer yet so I would share it here.) Remy did a cute dance at a table where a lady was celebrating a birthday.

It was a fun addition to the lunch, but not distracting from the food or the atmosphere of the restaurant.

I would love to see Remy, but before this post I had never even heard of Chefs de France. How is the food?

We will be there in June and may try to get lunch reservations.

Oh that is absolutely darling!! I just love Remy and the ratouille its become one of my fave disney movies!! Too bad I dont plan on going to Chefs, I dont care much for french food beyond scalloped potatoes and french onion soup and croissants! LOL!
