Is there a way to see Remy w/o eating at Chefs De France.. From the windows or something like that?

I'd think it would be sort of obnoxious to see people pressed up against the window to look at Remy, especially if I was sitting at one of the tables right next to the window. That said, you can really only get the full Remy experience if you are in the restaurant.

I don't think that would be practical, as TDCNala said.

It is just a small animatronic wheeled around on a cart, not a full size character.

Not really..he is not a regular character ,he is a small little guy..not to mention it is a little frowned upon to plant your face against the glass while people are behind it trying to eat.

That would be the Charles Dickens Street Urchin Experience.

1) The idea os to gt you into Chefs to eat.
2) They do not make it easy to see REMY without such.

I have a reservation for Chefs De France this weekend, but was thinking of canceling. I am interested in seeing Remy though.
What does Remy do? Is it worth seeing at least once?

If it's Sunday you wouldn't see him anyway, he doesn't appear on Sundays.

We just had lunch with Remy about 2 weeks ago at Les Chefs. It was such a fun experience. The Maitre D that "handles" him is so funny! We sat right by the window in the Atrium portion of the restaurant. As for seeing him through the window: Everytime someone approached the window and tried to take a picture, the Maitre D would quickly put the dome back over Remy and give them a look that said "I don't think so!" It was really funny. I guess you had to be there.:goodvibes

Remy sits on a platter that has cheese and grapes. He's very small, but he wears the chef's toque (hat). He only speaks "rat", ... he squeaks -- and the handler interprets what he says. He moves and interacts with the patrons. very cute.

We have a dinner ADR there, but I think Remy only comes at lunch. Oh well...

We have a ressie there for dinner on a Saturday in November. Is there a schedule for when he sows up? It would be great if we could see him, but it won't make or break our dinner. Thanks!

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-thru-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he usually comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers make sure of this
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is near a scheduled time, be early
. . . you may not be seated on time, and will miss him
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Also,
guests might be pressing their shorts and clothes against other guest's
tabletop and food (eewe, yuck, gross). Also, he is a temperamental little
critter, and occasionally does not appear at all, and with NO PRIOR NOTICE,
so use caution when promising him to little ones to avoid disappointment
