I just purchased a stuff toy dog on e-bay. Upon receiving it, it was obvious that whoever sent it lived with a smoker because the box smelled badly of smoke. The toy itself had been "drenched" with some kind of horrible perfume, I suppose to disguise the smoke odor. I have tried airing it out and spraying with Febreeze, to no avail. It is for my daughter who is a bit asthmatic. I am asthmatic and this thing sends me into fits. It is disgusting. Does anyone know of a sure way (besides washing) to remove an odor from a stuffed toy? I only wish they had left the smokey smell. That would have gone away with some airing out!!!!
