I know they had shifted to having the Universal show be pretaped, but just a reminder that for this week they are going live at 1pm EST today:

It was interesting stuff! I'm not a waterpark person, but it seems like Universal put alot of thought into the place, and I'm a sucker for good theming. Hearing them talk about how alot of stuff is unfinished though (along with the fact that Universal has already hinted at an "expansion") makes me feel like they rushed this to make sure that it opened the same time as Avatarland. Which isn't a bad thing, I mean - if this makes Universal and IoA less crowded the days I go, I'm all for it. Some of the weight stuff might be a little weird to work out, but it's great to see a waterpark with actual food options.

Anyways, 10,000 Internet Dollars to the first person to go to Volcano Bay and ask where the Moana Meet and Greet is.

I agree - it does little ok pretty cool (though still want to see this lazy river with animatronics and how the tape taping interacts with things, etc)

After the Moana meet request you should bring a printed out menu from Trader Sam's to one of the bars and ask for a Krakatoa

I want to go so bad! Great coverage!

I was reading a lot of negative reports from opening day from regular guests - the Tapu Tapu things seems to be a disaster as you can only have one slide reserved at a time and then there isn't that much else to do while you wait. And some were finding that even after their time came there was still a 45+ minute wait

Also, reports of tiles falling off the walls in the pools, etc - really seems like the partk wasn't ready for prime time yet

If / when they get things sorted out I think it has the potential to be a really fun water park, but I am not in a rush to get there until they get things fixed/finished

Yeah, it kind of confirms alot of my fears - they weren't ready to open this thing, but felt the need to rush it to coincide with the start of summer and Avatarland opening. If they didn't have Volcano Bay up, their only new attraction to go against Pandora would be... the Jimmy Fallon Simulator.

That being said, I watched the Tim Tracker's video of entering the place, and the decor is amazing. Really great theming all around here, it should be a great water park - once it's finished.

As long as it is all fixed when I go to Florida in 2021 we are all good! :lmao:
