Indian school children hold candles during a prayer meeting for the tsunami victims in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad, December 26, 2005. Mourners across the world gathered on Monday along ravaged Indian Ocean coastlines to remember more than 231,000 people who died in last year's tsunami.

Lanterns are released during a ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the Indian Ocean tsunami on Pak Meng beach, Thailand, December 26, 2005. Thousands of locals and foreigners gathered in southern Thailand to commemorate the December 26, 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, which wiped out 47 villages along that one country's coastline.

Keeping all the survivors in good thoughts and prayers.

Our family took the time yesterday to remember them along with The people from The Gulf Coast.
