In 1976 the rate for the CR was $45/night! We paid $60 for the Poly in 1979! I recall your listing as well. We did have AP during most visits therefore we received those discounts. Those prices from the 70s were the going price without discounts. Put putting it into perspective, in relation to income levels back then, still a costly night!! The best deal I think we have ever had was the WL courtyard view for 114/night in 2003! I guess the AP CBR in 2003 for 74/night was good too! I did just find 4 day passes from 1995 that were much less then current!

We were talking about rates like that the other night. The first time we stayed at the Contemporary we payed $40 per night. Yipes

Yes I do!

I stayed at the very first value (that's what they referred to it as before there were really "value" resorts) resort when it openned and it was Caribbean Resort in 1989 and I paid rack rate (no discounts back then) for regular season (the first week of May) and paid $89 a night. There was a 2 year waiting list to get in. I booked my reservation 18 months in advance to get in! It was about 25% of the size it is now. No rooms past the main pool North) and the sections across the pond was not openned yet (Aruba)!
