Remember that 162 mil MegaMillions Jackpot from last week?...update!

At the risk of sounding like a 3rd grader (and IF the ticket was actually FOUND): Finders keepers...
But I do believe the woman who turned in the ticket bought it...she had a receipt for it, I think that's proof enough.

It does truly sound like the woman who turned it in is legit.

Just an interesting little story, a few years ago, a guy here in Massachusetts dropped a couple of scratch tickets after purchasing. They were picked up by someone (I think a little girl found them). So, after dropping the tickets and not being able to find them, the guy goes back to the store, and gets the ticket numbers from the salesman.

So, the people who found the ticket scratch it, and it hits for like $10,000. They end up running a story in the Boston Herald about how these people won $10,000 on a scratch ticket they found on the street.

The guy who buys the tickets sues to try to get the winnings back. He even tries to use an obsure law that said something about how if you find something that costs less than $3, you have to give it back. So, he tries to use this law to get the $2 scratch ticket back.

In the end, the person who found the ticket was able to keep the money. So, as Manda said, "Finders Keepers."

Lesson to all....sign the backs of your Lottery tickets.

I thinkt he more appropriate 3rd grade response is " Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!! :p

This Elicia lady is obviously a nut... and if I were the winner I'd get the heck out of dodge...who knows what this person is capable of.

From CNN.com:
Rebecca Jemison, the 34-year-old certified winner, produced a receipt from the convenience store showing the date and time she purchased the winning ticket. And The Associated Press reported that a lottery official said Jemison provided a different lottery ticket she bought at the same time and location. She also had a ticket from an earlier drawing showing she had played the same winning numbers before.

Jemison, a wife and mother of a 12-year-old daughter, said she routinely played the same numbers -- 12, 18, 21, 32, 46 and 49 -- for about two years.

Sounds like a loosing "Battle" to me.

I don't think it matters if she bought a winning ticket or not. I've always understood lottery rules as follows: 1) buy a ticket before the numbers are drawn, 2) keep the ticket until the numbers are drawn, 3) if the winning numbers match your ticket you win! 4) lose the ticket, it doesn't matter if the the numbers match or not, you don't have the ticket, you LOSE.
