I was fortunte to see the Remember fireworks twice this past weekend while I was at DL.

Friday night, it was amazing. Sat on the curb right in front of the castle about 8pm with my Bengal BBQ skewers, relaxed and waited for the fireworks. When they made everyone stand, was able to stand on the edge of the curb, so there was no one in the way. I had only seen the show once before, and it was even more incredible than I remembered.

Sunday night, decided to watch it from main street by the hot dog place to get a little different view. It started great, but there was no Tink, so there were spots that just seemed empty. Does it happen often that Tink does not fly but they still have fireworks? The door on the Matterhorn never opened up for her, so it is not like they were planning on it and had an issue. I am glad I got to see it Friday with Tink, because it was just not the same.

Just wondering.

If it is too windy, they will not put Tink in the air. It's too dangerous for her.

It may not feel windy on the ground, but they go by wind speeds up higher.

DH used to work with one of the "tinks". She quit last year though and she told DH that there were only 4 of them when she worked as tink. She was scheduled only so many hours a week and flew about once or twice. Sometimes because of the scheduling issues and rules about how may hours you can fly, there is no tink. It doesn't happen often during peak periods though. There are also many other factors, the most common as PP stated weather. Safety equipment and harnesses are another reason.
