We always felt that Toon town was a magical part of the park. Does anyone know if there is something similar to what they had in another area of park? It was an easy walk through. No fast pass needed. :flower1:

My husband and I had not gone for a while and had the very unpleasant experience to discover it was no longer there. Dont know how we missed the sad news. Is there anything similar to that fun experience in the new Fantasyland or other place?

In DL. But not WDW
Unless you count PP queue. But that is a line so it's different

Sorry, what is PP queue?

LoL It's Peter Pan ride queue....

The line that you wait on to get into the ride. It' was update and made interactive 2 years ago...Really cool...If you FP this ride you miss all the cool stuff though...

EDIT: Google it..It's kinda neat!! Better yet click here...

I remember Mickey's and Minnie's houses (and Donald's boat). My kids enjoyed them. I always thought Toon Town was very crowded and did not care for it. (My DD always liked Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse too and I did not like that either!)

We were the first family in Toontown one morning years ago. It was so cool, Mickey & Minnie escorted us through the land showing us around. Absolutely magical.

You could always go to Disneyland. pixiedust: They still have a terrific ToonTown...but, of course, it's life is short from what I understand. Progress, you know?!! I was so happy to see it one last time this summer. (sniff!) :charac2:

will never forgive Disney for the demise of ToonTown (and soon to be demise in DL)! losing its soul--Walt would not approve...

I will never forget the boat. Somehow, my son distracted a sweet Mom from Germany into standing over a water spout. I wonder how many hours it took for her butt to dry after her surprise enema?!

Oh no, it's leaving DL, too?! Anyone know when that is expected? We are going on first trip in May and were excited to see it!

We loved the one in WDW and are very sad it's gone, it was awesome!

I didn't know the one in DL was going, that's too bad. They definitely have more stuff there than they did in the Toontown in WDW. I remember when the one at WDW was Mickey's Birthdayland and Mickey's Starland

Okay, so with a little bit of searching, so certainly not definitive, it seems the rumors of DL closing, mostly for Star Wars Land, are only rumors, started before the official announcement of Star Wars Land at D23 in mid August, 2015. It now seems, at least as far I was able to find, that Toontown is safe and not closing down to make way for Star Wars Land. Among places saying it's not true, and that Toontown is not closing or making way for Star Wars Land, is the official Disneyland Today twitter account.

Toon town is going away in Disney land?

I'm not so sure this is going to be the case..Unless someone else has real knowledge of it closing, it might get spared, according to some other sources... Check out these:::https://www.google.com/search?q=ima...hUKEwjQz_fUzc3KAhWJPiYKHTPUCXoQ_AUIBigB&dpr=1
