Just curious if anyone has moved to Orlando, or somewhere close to Disney, or even just to Florida because they couldn't stand to be so far away!

Does it take the fun away from future Disney trips since your so close, and possibly see Disney all the time????

I would love to move back to florida, but i'm scared I'll start to not get as excited when planing my trips.

I work for a place that provides security services to malls, and we provide services to The Florida Mall, and they say the get sick of EVERYTHING DISNEY!!!! And all the tourists and everything. I don't EVER want to be that way!!! I love my Mouse!!!!

When my parents talked about retiring to Hilton Head I thought wow it would be so cool to live there. Id go to the beach every day, etc. Well I spent 2 yrs there and got tired of it pretty quick. It was terrible for a single person as the only singles were either college kids working for the summer, or much older people. At first I hit the beach, but it got old fast. And the traffic and tourists-that had to be the worst part! Tourists will stop right in the middle of the road because they dont know where theyre going! I imagine living in Orlando would be the same. The traffic was so bad when we drove back in Feb. When the husband talked of relocating, I first thought Orlando would be cool. Now Im not so sure. Yes it would give me something to do with my son every day, but it would add up pretty quickly too! As they say-youre always happier where youre not!

When we were there for an extended time it wasn't that Disney lost its magic, it was just different. We would go there and just hang out, find a comfortable place to pass time and have coffee or a soda. Or if we wanted to eat out we were more likely to pick something there than anywhere else. The ability to go every day doesn't mean you will, but if you do you are likely to see and do things differently.

I don't think it would be as exciting for us to live near Disney because we get a rush from travelling to get there (1100 miles away) and when we come back home we start planning for the next voyage. :)

It's like Great Adventures (an hour away from our home)...we don't go as much anymore because we go so much we are tired of it now.
