Relax boys, the belly dancer does not want your singles! 9/2 final update p.87

I don't really know anything about the resorts except WLV and AKLV. Did you stay at OKW? I am headed over to the DVC boards to learn about the different resorts. Thanks for all your help so far.

We stayed at the OKW and AKV and both were awesome. We also toured the SSR, where we bought, and loved that too. :cloud9: There will be a link to DVC at the top of the DVC Forums here on the DIS and there are some good photos there. :surfweb: I think you will be up late tonight!

I KNOW I will be up late tonight. Are you in mt. time zone? I am central so I think I am an hour ahead of you. I like staying up late sometimes because I can Dis without interuption and it is nice and quite with no one pestering me. I am a nanny to 3 girls besides my own so I hear alot of noise during the day. My dh doesn't get why I like to stay up late but it is the only time I get totally to myself.

:cloud9: A little quiet time is priceless. I am MST.

:upsidedow Is it almost the weekend? This week has been crazy busy! :scared:

AK, paddle boatin’, and Boma- Day 4 :lmao:

:thumbsup2 I have to say today was one of my favorite days. I also have to reiterate that I have very little short-term memory so I am doing this segment mostly via photos. My friends, with recent memory intact, can fill in the holes. :upsidedow

AK opened at 9 pm and the plan was to make it near rope drop. Rope drop, schmope drop. The only day we made rope drop or thought was did was the day before in Epcot. I will turn in my DIS card now but did not find it crowded or unbearable by starting later. Rested children trump 10 minutes less in the Peter Pan queue any day!

Onward………………I believe breakfast was some cereal and grapes in the Villa. Ah, the Villa :cloud9: That never gets old. For me any way ;) I don’t remember if we drove or took the bus.

We entered and my Ironman ran to Expedition Everest for FPs. The plan was to grab those and meet him at Safari. On our way some insane Photopass dude insisted on taking the slowest pictures ever  Honestly, they weren’t even that good. How one man who had to run across the park beat us to Safari is beyond me? ;)

After a great day in AK which included a HUGE lunch at Yak and Yeti (CS) and running back and forth to EE, we headed back to the room at 12:30 :worship: Nate and Jenna! I asked Nate on the sly to please make sure he says that they are going back. I didn’t want Disney Commando to get any bright ideas  about staying all day until our Boma dinner at 5:30.

 We got back to OKW and decided it was a great day to hit the big pool. I wish I had more pictures. The OKW big pool rocks!!! Upon arriving Michael bought Jenna and I these amazing cocktails :lovestruc I wish I remembered the name! Jenna may.

pirate: After our drink Michael asked if I wated to go for a paddleboat ride on the Sassagoula River. Hubba hubba. Oh, wait, he meant an actual paddleboat ride. Nate thought it was code for sex but it wasn’t. The girl that rented us the boat was such a dud. She has zero personality. Jenna said she’d watch the kiddos and away we went. We paddled around the river just chatting about the trip and how much fun we were having. Even with the 50 lb life vests, it was romantic. :wizard:

party: When we got back the OKW Pool Party was about to begin. Before I go on, by this time I had had another strong cocktail and the boys had a few beers each. Jenna, our token lightweight, was feeling fine after one. While the kids were muy occupado Nate went to the room to grab more booze and snacks! Let’s say the next 2 hours consisted of Gabby winning a hoola hoop contest (she won an idog :woohoo:), me, Jenna, and the kids entering a dance contest, and lots more drinking. :dance3:

At one point we debated on blowing off Boma but Jenna put her foot down and insisted we try Boma :thumbsup2 And boy am I glad she did! I’ll get to that after. Our ADR was for 5:30ish and it was about 4:30. I never thought this party of 10 would make that ADR but as soon as Jenna said we go :hyper2: we hustled! Me, Michael, and Nate we uber buzzed!

:woohoo: Boma’s food was the best! I bow down to those who suggested Boma. Their orange colored soup was delish and the ribs to die for. I am still waiting for the Bobotie recipe in my email. :surfweb:

Keith and Jenna’s versions coming up…………………….popcorn::

Those DVC goodies are great, wonder if they offer them to the UK????

I love the photo of you all too and the day sounds fantastic, you got tons done and how cool Gab won an idog!

What a great day Jenny!
Your pics from the safari are great--when I try to take animal photos there, I usually just end up getting bits and pieces of various human heads.

Those desserts from Boma look so yummy--I must go there!

Can't wait to hear Jenna and Keith's thoughts on the day!

Ain't that the truth. I wasn't going to have my sitter come today but by 10:30, I left at 9:30, my kids had called 5x. :headache: I am out the $50 I pay her but have less stress. :yay:

I'll get to posting my version of the day, but clearly you did have too much to drink since you can't remember the following:;):rotfl:

* We did make rope drop that morning. Got there right as it was opening!:thumbsup2

* The drink at the Gurgling Suitcase was called the Turtle Crawl.:drinking1

* The soup at Boma that we loved was Carrot-Ginger Soup. :cloud9:

I'll get my version posted in the morning as I have to get the pics off of Nate's computer & I'm just too tired to do it tonight.:flower3:

:flower3: I knew you would come and set me straight! The problem is that I wasn't drinking when I wrote it and didn't drink until after we got to the pool. Can't wait to read your version! popcorn::

:thanks: It's from DVC because I signed up for a webcast. Guess whose going to sign up for every webcast? :rotfl2:

I signed up for that, too.

I missed first ten mins of mine, but watched it tnite

It was pretty entertaining and corny, but fun

I love my swag too :woohoo:

Great update!!

Nice shots on the safari :thumbsup2

Pool party sounds like a blast.....:woohoo:

The drinks and dessert at Boma looked delicious popcorn::

I love that family shot of you that you said is your favorite...You should blow it up and frame it, if you have not already done so:goodvibes

oh, if rope drop is required then i never had a dis card to begin with! we hate waking up early. the only rope drop we ever do is MK and that's because i love the little show at the train station and because you can conquer fantasyland in an hour in the morning.

How one man who had to run across the park beat us to Safari is beyond me? ;)

it's called not having kids with you! not knocking on the kiddos but it's amazing how much faster ray and i moved than anna, chris and luke when we went in december. ray and i can maneuver in and out of people/strollers and someone with kids can't for fear of losing them. another thing i'm gonna have to get used to!

i was gonna quote it but now i can't remember which one it was, but that second picture of the 2 giraffes is awesome!
