Relax boys, the belly dancer does not want your singles! 9/2 final update p.87

So after a very exciting and tiring first day, I didn’t sleep a wink that first night. The air-conditioner upstairs was not working and it was hotter than hell! In the middle of the night I checked on the girls only to find them sprawled out sans covers and sweating profusely. I felt like I felt had been hit by a truck at this point.

I did however also wake up to the sweet smell of freshly brewed coffee and a fridge full of food (thanks Jenna and Nate) I do enjoy my morning cup o’ Joe and Nate did well! When Jenna asked how we slept I debated on saying anything but couldn’t do another 4 nights sans sleep. Jenna said they would call maintenance to fix it, which they did. Slept fabulously the next 4 nights.

The plan today was for Nate and their boys to see the Shuttle Launch and by the time we got up they had left. Jenna will fill in the details. Originally our plan (see itin) called for Epcot today but knowing we’d be there all day tomorrow we opted for MGM (DHS whatev) instead. This did mean that we would be blowing off Le Cellier again!! Keith and Tracy were set to arrive as well. The plan was to meet them in MGM after their dinner.

I think the first words out of your mouth that morning, besides "Good Morning" were "There's NO WAY in Hades that I could eat a steak for lunch!" I knew that that Le Cellier was out! Do you ever think you'll eat there?

I felt awful that the upstairs air wasn't working! After not sleeping the night before from the red-eye, to that.....ugh! I told you that you should have taken the master bedroom. I'm so glad maintenance was able to fix it and quickly!

Nate & the boys got up somewhere around 6. I think they wanted to head out about 7. They were supposed to be there at 9 according to their pass so that would give them enough time if there was traffic. All I know is I wanted to sleep in a bit, but Nate kept waking me to ask me questions....where are the boys clothes, how much $ do you need, what credit card should I put gas on, etc......

After he left, I drifted back to sleep for about 10 minutes and then my cell rang. It was my mother. I fell back asleep for another 10 minutes. My cell rang again. Nate this time. After talking to him, I heard Jenny was up so I got out of bed. We chatted for a bit and let the others sleep. When they got up, we got them breakfast & prepared to head to the Studios. I had ridden TSM last June and loved it & I knew Jenny's gang would too!

I don't have too much to add to Jenny's details off the day except that while they went on The Great Movie Ride, I stayed out with Emma because it was right before the shuttle was set to launch & I wanted to see if I could see it. I asked a Cast Member where they are usually seen, and she said right by the Mickey on top of the globe. It was pretty cloudy though and said it wasn't likely to be seen today. No luck. We did see the jet trail it made though. That's when Jenny's gang got off TGMR and we had our refreshments & headed back to the villa for a swim.

Oh, and I hate that picture of me with Emma. That one can be burned!

We arrived back at the Villa and chilled. Jenna had been en communicado with Nate all day and they were headed back. After a nice break my family decided to head back to MGM, we were going to meet Keith and Tracy, and Jenna and Emma would hang back and wait for the boys and meet up with us after.

I forgot to add that when Nate & I went to Wal-Mart to do our shopping the night before, we picked up an umbrella stroller for Emma. We planned on getting one down there since there was zero room left in the car. When I opened it to take it to the studios for Emma, I realized it had no front wheels. So she ended up walking, which wasn't too bad since the Studios aren't that big.

I have a few at the pool and bus stop but for some reason didn't get a single photo of the outside Nate may have though. We seemed to take opposite shots!

I sure thought about it but no, I changed our payment date. I wasn't going to but had nightmares about it last night.

please pray that my husband does not find out that this has been released. he's usually on top of this sorta thing and he hasn't mentioned it so i'm thinking he just dropped the ball on this one. he loves metallica and i'll lose him for about a month if he gets it. let's just hope they don't make a tool and/or pink floyd version of rock band because if so i may never see him again.

It was released recently. It is actually for Guitar Hero but can be played on Rock Band which is what we have. My BIL got it for his b-day and brought it along when they visited last weekend. Nate hasn't shut up about it since! We saw it at Target Friday night & of course, Nate had to get it!

We all gnawed on that thing at one point.

Not I. That was more meat than I could handle! Especially with all those translucent bits!

PM Tracy and asked her about the "hint" I gave to her near the end of the ride. It's so not postable.

I have a pretty strong stomach, but if I saw "translucent bits" on my turkey, i would have hurled.

Are you trying to make me vegetarian......?

Well, we did a split stay b/w CBR and the GF. We were celebrating a few birthdays and my DD has always wanted to stay at the GF (refined taste for a soon-to-be-8-year-old Anyway, I couldn't justify the cost of staying there for 8 nights so we did 4 nights at each.

It kinda backfired on us cause she liked the pool at CBR so much that when we told her we were leaving (actually bribed her to go on Expedition Everest by telling her we'd go straight to the GF if she rode!! Her response? "I'll try EE but I don't think I want to leave the Caribbean" Umnn, well, too late kid, it's paid for. Last time I ever try to surprise her methinks.

Anyway, we did enjoy the F&G Festival so much, despite the insane heat. We were there from 5/5 -5/13 and boy was it hot mid-trip. We are used to going in August (love me some free grub!) but this year I decided I'd had enough of the heat, as well as dodging the hurricane bullet, which we've done successfully twice and I figured lightning doesn't strike three times. So we took the kiddos out of school for a week and wound up with Africa-heat in May. Oh well! Had an awesome time trying out the waterparks for the first time.

That's too funny that she didn't want to change resorts! It did seem unusally hot for May, but at least we got out of there before the rain hit!

The joys of being a wife & mother eh? A smal glimps into the obsessive mind of Kirsteen McDonald, proceed with caution....for my 40th in July I wanted to make my own cake (I know sad) but my mum said if I didn't mind she'd love to make it. This was so sweet of her so I unclenched my fists, took a deep breath, smiled and said that would be fantastic. Now my mum was looking after Niamh during the week whilst I was making a birthday cake and she said to me today she needed to speak to me about something...she said that she wasn't confident enough to make a cake that is themed and she had wanted to buy a cake from a bakers, when she spoke to Donny he told her that I am "a bit funny about cakes, she would be looking at it worrying about how much you'd spent. Best just let her do it herself to be honest!!!" And do you know what he's bang on the money, I feel rotten but also over the moon because I had an idea in mind and now I can do what I like. Sorry that was a bit of a ramble but I've gotten it off of my chest now

At least it will be what you want! You are just too Kirsteen! Can't wait to meet in August!

I guess red eyes do suck. Never did one except alone coming home from California. Sucked. But we took an evening flight down to Disney and we finally got in at 1:30 a.m. That's not so fun either, especially rolling your own suitcases as there are no bellhops at POR at that time. Poor guests whose rooms we had to roll by ...

We are looking at August 6th through the 9th. I have priced annual pass rates on rooms for these days since I'm out of points. Nate was leaning toward staying at the WL which I . Of course today he is just being total pants and wants the total price of this trip. Men! I will gladly stay at a cheaper resort if it is the difference of going/ not going!

We haven't given any thought to where we will eat. Probably do mostly CS with maybe one or two ADR's. I would like to eat brekkie at Kona Cafe one morning though. That would be one of the ADR's I would make.

Nate was talking about flying if it will be about the same price-wise to drive down. I reminded him though that we would have to rent a car if he plans on going to another launch. So it would probably still end up cheaper to drive.

The cheapest of the mods is Port Orleans FQ, Riverside, and CBR. They are all the same price. For some reason, CSR is more expensive. If we go cheap, I think we'll try FQ. Never stayed there before.

Still working on the convincing part. I'm going to list all of the expenses tonight and show it to him. Cross your fingers & give a little pixie dust!

Yes....it will definitely be w/o kids! They will be at Camp Grandma's. I have a plan in the works.

Nate would love to venture out West as would I. The summer is booking up rather fast though, and I honestly don't see it happening. Especially since his elk trip is Sept. 10th and he'll be heading to Steamboat Springs then.
