Our 2 DS's are BIG eaters! Any suggestions on where they might like to eat that will fill them up and not break the bank in the process? A couple places I was specifically wondering about were Cape May Buffet and ESPN Club. Any others? Oh, yes, and since we'll be at OKW, how's Olivias and Goods to Go (that counter serve-not sure of the name)?

How old are your DD's? That will help me give you some options.

I would pick buffets, always a favorite in my family:

'Ohana's at the polynesian
Crystal Palace at MK
Boma at AKL
H&V at MGM
Biergarten at Epcot
1900 PF at GF

Also Primetime Cafe at MGM

How about Trail's End Buffet at Ft. Wilderness? We've heard very good things about it, so we're going to try it on our next trip. Looks very reasonably priced.

We're also going to Cape May, but that is more expensive. That will be our NYE dinner spot.:D

Actually the "boys" (Shhh-don't tell anyone they're boys, not men) are 20 yo and 23 yo. Buffets would probably be a good option, I'm sure I can convince them to do just one character meal (but no Princesses!) Yes, I was thinking Trail's End would be great for one meal. Although we'll be at OKW all week, the last 2 days are at FW.

LOL, I don't know why I saw DD instead of DS

H&V does not have characters at Dinner, just B&L.

Boma and Biergarten are great non character meals.

Donald's Breakfastosaurus is probably the most "boyish" of the character meals, and one I should have mentioned earlier. It is 13 DS's favorite.

BTW DS actually loves Cindy's. He liked the food and the fact it is all you can eat served at the table.

Are your kids adventurous eaters? If so I would recommend Akershaus in Norway at Epcot. My DH and I love this restaurant. We go for the lunch buffet which I think is right around $12.00 for adults. It's all you can eat so you can basically take as much as you want. There is quite a bit of seafood at this restaurant but even if your kids don't like seafood there is still plenty to eat. My DH can't stand seafood yet this is always his favorite meal at WDW.

We find the Kona Cafe to be a good deal. Off the top of my head I remember I got Terryaki Beef, fried onions, beans, and a good amount of rice all for 16.99. Plus appetizers and salads arent too expensive either.

We do enjoy ESPN and think we got a good meal for the price, however, I wouldnt say we were overly stuffed after eating there. There portions werent huge, but not small either.

Like the others said, any buffet or all you can eat meal would be a good idea to fill them up, but not cheap. However I know when we do a buffet breakfast, we usually end up skipping lunch, so that may save some money if they can do that.

Definitely Trail's End. I usually can barely walk after eating here!;)

I found the ESPN portions to be very large. I only had an appetizer and was full.

You may want to give Beaches & Cream a try--especially if you have vouchers. The entrees are normal size, but the ice cream is huge and should help fill them up!

Do not miss Trails End Buffet! It is very good, all-American cuisine and very reasonably priced. I would definitely go here!

Another suggestion is Beaches and Cream. The food is very good, and the prices aren't bad. It makes a great stop for lunch if you are at Epcot or MGM.

Finally, if your boys are adventurous eaters, I have heard really good things about Boma at the AKL. Again, it is a buffet, but it seems to be a really great dining experience.

Hope this helps.

Cape May is our favorite dinner buffet...lots to choose from, and we enjoyed everything we tried. We were not charged extra for our tea and soft drinks.

I would go with anywhere that serves either buffet or family style, that way they can eat to their hearts' content and not break the bank.

Also, you will find that lunches are a bit more reasonable at some of the restaurants than others.

For lunch, I would recommend:
MK: Crystal Palace
Epcot: Garden Grille
MGM: Hollywood and Vine

For dinner:
MK: Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern
Epcot: Garden Grille
Resorts:
Boma
Cape May Cafe
Chef Mickey's
'Ohana
1900 Park Faire

Happy Eating!:)

Someone posted this above but I just wanted to repeat it. The 50's Prime Time Cafe in MGM has HUGE portions and very reasonable (by Disney standards) prices. One example, the fried chicken meal has 3 pieces of fried chicken plus a huge serving of mashed potatoes and string beans. Hubby and I always split here and they will split in the kitchen and serve it on two normal sized plates instead of one HUGE plate. The food is very good and the atmosphere is great too!

I think your sons will enjoy Cap May buffet. It is our favorite buffet.
