You two HAVE to do it...with what junkies you are it will be the best investment you make....just think how much you will spend on your next vaca, think about what you spent on the last one...you will not regret it!

Y'all are such Disney junkies you should just take the plunge! It is the best investment you will make, trust me, trust all of us, whatever dollars you will spend on your next trip will be best spent on DVC!

You are overwhelming me with nostalgia for my childhood right now!
I never really went to WDW until I was an adult, but too many trips to DL as a kid to even count (and working there 2 summers). I also ride that train just to see the grand canyon/dinosaur stuff. Matterhorn will always be my most favorite disney ride anywhere! I am hoping I can get my 4 yr old to go on it with me on our upcoming DL trip. I miss the skyway - I used to crane my neck going through the Matterhorn, trying to glimpse the yeti.
Seeing the rivers of America drained is so odd!
Can't wait to hear about Club 33 - you lucky girl!

Later that day we headed over to Disneyland Park as we had lucked out in that we were going with our friends to a special Winemaker Dinner with John & Nancy Lasseter. It’s nice having a friend who is a club member because I can get in there relatively often. I had been planning a lunch trip for the day after my birthday with a couple friends for whom we wanted to do something nice, but when this special dinner was added and I had the opportunity to go, I was ecstatic!

As I was taking pictures of the light fixtures, one of the waiters noticed and he explained to me that Lilian Disney purchased these fixtures personally in Paris.

So before we move on to the second weekend stay, let’s pick up any loose ends that I missed.

After checking out of the room we checked our bags with Bell Services and decided to enjoy DCA for a few hours. The first thing I did was pick up FP for Soarin. Here is the Paradise Pier area with the new Paradise Park (viewing area for World of Color) in the foreground. Imagine yourself being crammed in here with 8999 of your closest friends!

The main winery is under refurbishment so the Terrace Winery is open for tasting a purchasing glasses of wine.

The DVC Wing is the right half of the building that you see here. The Grand Villa with the Park View is the upper floors of the crème colored building.

After a ride on California Screamin we headed back to Soarin via the Pacific Wharf, the Tortilla Factory tour and then the F&W Marketplace for some snacks.

Rumor has it that Ariel's Grotto will soon have a new name and perhaps not be quite so Princess Oriented.

We took the tortilla factory tour for the FIRST time! They give you a free tortilla at the end of your factory tour

I hope you loved it! I so enjoy being able to stay there! What a luxury for anyone, but especially for me who lives so close! Tomorrow I'm out there again for a stay in a one bedroom. I will be my third time out there this week, but the first time staying in several weeks!

So I sort of let this thread go dormant for a few months, but I still have some great and different pictures to post, since some friends expressed an interest in the VGC I thought at least I should post the pics of our one bedroom unit, since it was the most insane unit that we have ever stayed in!

A few months ago I had the great fortune to be in the park VERY early in the morning when no one else was around and was able to snap these crowdless shots.

How often do you see the esplanade like this?

Main Street looks almost like a ghost town, but it's so peaceful!
