I'm going to Rehoboth beach this summer and I was wondering if someone could recommend where my son could park his car because the hotel only allows one car per room. Last year I remember alot of posts with ideas.

I love rehoboth beach!! We always stayed on Hickman, rented a house!! Have fun !!!!!!!

That's tough. There are meters and there is parking for those with parking passes. He's not going to want to fill a meter all week obviously. So, i'd say when he gets to Rehoboth, he should buy a parking pass. Unfortunately, they only sell seasonal. I believe it's around $100. And he can park on some of the streets in Rehoboth.

When did this start? The last time I was there which was last summer I was able to get a week long parking pass.

Hey there from very close to Rehoboth ! Your son definitely does not want to feed the meters, the cost is going up again this year. The city sells weekday (M-F) permits for $8, weekend permits (Sat/Sun) $13 and weekly permits for $45. I just got this info from the city's website. Come on down and join us this summer!

You definately want to get an off street parking permit from the City. You can pick one up as soon as you pull into Rehoboth. You will see the stand on the right hand side with a large umbrella.
You need to remember that these parking permits are for NON-METERED parking. So basically anything downtown, and the next 3 blocks over each are metered.
I work in Rehoboth on the Boardwalk so I know how they work.
Also, if you don't mind, where will you be staying? What time of the year are you coming?

We will be staying at the Avenue Inn during July

Just wanted to say that you'll love the Avenue Inn. We stayed there while on a planning trip for our wedding 5 years ago and just loved it. Enjoy!

Laurel street might still have some non metered parking, right near the condos....

There is tons of shopping out on Route 1 (you can see the stores online under Tanger Outlets - just click on Rehoboth Beach Delaware) and of course it's tax free shopping. If it will be during the summer, on the south end of the boardwalk is funland with rides and games. You are within walking distance of everything staying at the Avenue Inn. You can eat at Grottos which is known for the best pizza in town (although some find it too greasy, I love it!!) There is also Dos Locos which has mexican and american food which is really good. And the SummerHouse has great food. Out on Route 1 the Big Fish is great but very noisy.

You can go to www.rehoboth.com and you can look up restaurants, shopping, calendar of events, etc. right on there!

I have to agree Grotto's Pizza is pretty good but the best pizza is Nicola's Pizza..they have a new site on the Ave and their old one 1 block off....You have to try their Nic-o-bolis...you can get them half baked and take back home to your freezer....I was born and raised in the area so lots of memories. My Aunt owns Ryan's Gems and Junks on the boardwalk..check her store out..right next to Funland...

I agree, you should definately try a nicoboli. But their pizza they use spaghetti sauce on it :sad2:
And you should get their fries!! Their just like Thrashers Boardwalk fries, but cheaper and much better!
And you should go to five guys!! I forgot we had one of them in town now:thumbsup2
