we have done the re-hitchin' at the garder grill; it is a lot of fun. definitely do it! you will be glad you did.:tongue:
 
Just curious what you need to do if you want to do this? Can you do it during the Ice Cream Social? Our DD might get a kick out of Mommy and Daddy rehitching. Any other details anyone cares to offer?

When you call to make a ps for the ice cream social just ask if you can do the re-hitching cermony also. I will be calling today.

keep in mind when you call, the CM might not know about the rehitchin'. just make sure it is noted on your PS and of course be sure to mention it when you check in at the restaurant. i have read where, at the garden grill, that folks have had mickey and friends as "attendants." we have never been so lucky!! the CM/wait person is the preacher who does the ceremony. it is very short and sweet. once we received a MM shaped cake; once we did not.:( and you get to kiss to the count of 100, you know like this: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,........100! you will receive a cute marriage certificate signed by Mickey and Minnie. have fun!!:tongue: :wave:
 
We did this at a meal and received a complimentary cake. I saw a couple do it during the ice cream social -- no cake. I am not sure if it's because you are just buying a sundae or what.

Nonetheless, it is a wonderful ceremony. Be sure to bring a camera and ask another server or guest to capture the magical moment on film. Nothing like getting rehitched at Disney!!!
 
We did the rehitching ceremony in May for our 25th. I ended up not making a PS because my hubby didn't want to be tied down to any certain time. We arrived for dinner, and I whispered to the CM that I wanted to surprise my DH with the ceremony.
Towards the end of the meal, a CM came over and told us to stand up. (We didn't have any characters as attendants.) The CM started shouting to the rest of the restaurant, introducing us, saying we hadn't done our first ceremony right, so had to do it over now 25 years later. Next we had to say I do, and the kiss to 100. We also received a cake and didn't have any characters as attendants.
Its a humorous ceremony that my whole family enjoyed. It was even better to surprise my DH with it. The look on his face as he tried to figure want what was going on was great!!
I didn't get the marriage certificate! Should I write and ask for one? I'll only celebrate my 25th once!
 
Now I am curious... Where do they offer the rehitching ceremony? Is there a fee? We will be celebrating our anniversary during our next visit and this sounds like fun. Is this only in Epcot?

It is only at the Garden Grill in the Land at Epcot. There is no fee, but I'd recommend making a PS for lunch or dinner. Be sure to ask them to note rehitching ceremony on your PS (and don't be surprised if the WDW Dining CM has no clue about what you are talking about.) Also mention this again when you check-in.
 
Do they celebrate two events? We already have PS there for dh's bday, but it is near our 10th anniversary! Can they celebrate both?!?
