I was just wondering out of those of you that had a rehersal dinner any suggestions on locations? We will be hosting about 50 people. I really love Cape May anybody host a party there? :wave2:

Hey-

We were doing a ehearsal dinner as a Wishes dessert party until we found out about our awful inclement weather plan! We were so excited about it, too!

We just moved up to the Napa Room at the California Grill. We still get to see the fireworks, the music is piped in for free, and the view cannot be beat! We're at 36 people- not as large as your's by any means. The meals are served California (aka family) style. There is a private bar in the Napa room, too.

If you wanted further information on either event, please feel free to PM me. I've managed to accumulate a lot by way of pricing, miniumums, etc. moving it!

I think i am going to do the Luau at the polynesian - most of my family have been several times to Disney so it was a struggle to find something that no one had done before!

crista,
we had our rehearsal dinner at Cape May in May 2004 and it was fabulous. We had 35 people and everyone of them told us how much they enjoyed the food. It was a perfect location for us because we had our rehearsal in the ballroom at the Boardwalk because we didn't want anyone to see the wedding pavilion until the day of the Wedding so it was a surprise to everyone, then we went to the Cape May for rehearsal dinner and then we met everyone from our Wedding 100 people at the entrance to Epcot for our dessert party.
If you need any information I would be happy to help.
Good Luck.

This EXACTLY what I had planned on doing! I also wanted to save the Wp for the "big" day and since the reception will most likely be at the boardwalk (and we are staying there) we thought this would work out well. Did you feel everyone was prepared for the wedding (rehearsing in the ballroom?) I figured the wp has a pretty typical chapel like set up so I figured no one would get confused or anything (unlike the gazebos or epcot which gets tricky!)

pixie08,
It was the best thing we did, The reaction of the bridal party when the doors opened to the Wedding Pavilion was fabulous and caught on video, they all said they were glad they didn't see it until that day. We didn't have one problem with doing it that way and Rev. Jack Day was great.
talking about it makes me want to do it again.
Good Luck and enjoy every minute of it.

We are doing our's at Fulton Crab House. They are fixing a variety of foods for reasonable prices! They have private rooms where 3 sides are glass, and a balcony type thing. I will post pictures when I get back from my planning session. I am seeing this outside of the planning session, b/c it is not part of the "Disney" thing since it is owned by another company and just operates in Downtown Disney.
