There was a mention on the Mousesavers website about regular ticket prices maybe increasing soon (before February), given the AP news this week. What do the dis people think? I wanted to wait a bit to buy tickets but now I'm worried. Would they do a single ticket increase so close to the AP increase? Seems they'd want to wait to drop more bad news.

With APs, they're active for 12 months, thus making an announcement about price increases before next year relevant. If you're concerned about paying more for park tickets for next year then I recommend you go ahead and buy before 2015 ends. I hope that makes sense.

I'm definitely buying before December to be ready for my 60 day Fastpass window. I just didn't know if I should buy this weekend or if I could wait a few weeks. I don't want to be in a frenzy Monday morning.

Normally they raise prices on Sat nights and Disney widely leaked to investor mags this week that they are considering moving to tiered pricing for tickets.

I'd expect that move very soon, or why leak it? I'd expect it as soon as tonight.

Ticket prices will increase. How soon and how much is anyone's guess, but price increases do occur every year. If you can afford it and you're sure about your plans, it's not a mistake to buy your tickets early. If purchasing now would be a hardship, then you're better off to wait. Any future price increase is not worth going into debt now.

I think this is what has everyone concerned. The "chatter" about tiered pricing has made its way onto numerous websites and into several publications. You know what they say: Where there's smoke, there's fire....

Tickets prices already increased this year (February I believe). The discussion at this point is whether there will be a second increase this year.

The tiered pricing was actually leaked this summer. The chatter was only up this week because of the AP price raising (with more black out "tiers" than usual).

There's more smoke than just the AP price increases. Several investor magazines leaked info that tiered prices were coming. Those leaks came this week.

Tiered pricing was leaked with the release of MM+ in early 2013. It's been part of the plan for a long time now. The first move was to eliminate non expiration tickets, then jack up AP prices to make them less desirable, and now tiered pricing is next.

It looks like they won't be ready for Christmas/New Years, so maybe Spring Break?

One of WDW biggest problems is the hemorrhaging of guests out of Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom and the swelling of the number guests at Magic Kingdom. Will they find a way to limit the hoppers? At least into the MK?

I believe that they will increase them before February.

If you know that you are going for sure you might want to consider purchasing them sooner than later.

I expect a price increase close to Thanksgiving. Christmastime at WDW this year will be tiered pricing.

Remember I said this. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my words, but if I'm right I'm coming back to say "I told you so."

Yeah, I agree. I think this will be in place before Christmas this year. Hey it could come out tonight, who knows.

If the price increase comes out tonight and you buy today, then you're way ahead of the curve.

If not, those price increases are coming, very soon. The AP increase was the second price increase this year. There's every reason to believe that the are getting this set for Christmas this year.

IF they are setting this up for Christmas this year then there's a very great chance the price increase goes into effect tonight. Disney knows people wait till the last minute to make major purchases and right now is the deadline for ticket purchases in order to take advantage of the 60 day FPs for Christmas.

I really expect the increases tonight.
