Hello friends,

I'm looking to book a 3-night stay at some deluxe in September. We were thinking of the WL, either a 1 bedroom villa (Boulder Ridge or Copper Creek) or a regular room there. Does anyone have thoughts on what would be best?

A few specific questions:

1) How far of a walk is BR from the MK boats? I've got someone in the family who would really enjoy a short walk!

2) What's the best room type to boost odds of getting a non-construction site view (BR, CC, or regular rooms?)

3) How comfy are the couches in the villas? Do they convert to beds?

Thank you!

1. It's further, but it's by no means a long walk.

2. Construction should be mostly done by September. CC was construction. Pool should be open. So whatever.

3. A 1BR villa has a kind bed and a double sofa bed. Reports vary on the comfort of the sofa.

to me, a 1 bedroom villa is always better than a regular room (unless that room is in club level).

I have not stayed at WLV, but have stayed at BWV 1bd villa. LOVE the 1bd villa!

We found the pull out couch to be very comfortable. It was great to have so much space, a full kitchen and our own laundry. I would pick a villa room over a regular room anytime!

I think it depends on if your party wants/needs separate sleeping areas, and how everyone feels about one sleep surface being a posh king bed and one being a sleeper sofa of varying comfort, versus having two queens.

I agree! The separate space is great, but a queen bed in a standard is more comfortable than a sleeper sofa in the villa. The 1 bedrooms work for us because we like the separate space and DS9 doesn't mind the sleeper sofa. It may not be as comfortable to an adult.

And, if as adults, you're splitting the cost, the inequality of the sleeping surfaces may be a point of concern if the hope is to split 50-50.

I'd go with the regular room. If you book a courtyard view you won't see construction, although it should all be done by then.
