Hey is it just me or has the board seemed slow? Some of the ladies that are usually around have not been around lately- I know that school is winding down and some of you have already had weddings but just wanted to say I was thinking of you and hope that all is well!!!

I think this board has it's ups and downs...sometimes it's busier than others. At least, that's been my experience so far.

I post when I feel like there is a question I can answer or have some specific knowledge about. But in all honesty, my wedding was a little different with just me and DH, no registries, no in-laws, no MOH or anything...so I often don't have the same experiences other brides do.

I lurk alot reading about all these wonderful grand affairs and I just know Disney can pull it all off without too much worry!

I'd been away for weeks and only came back last night. I was actually creating some video clips on my laptop of my daughter’s promotion yesterday to Red/Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. In-between my video rendering, I had some time to spare so I popped into the Weddings Board to see what info I could share with those in need.

It was nice doing that since I hadn't done it in quite awhile, but it was time-consuming. Besides composing my written responses, I had to add a few more photos to my on-line photo album so that people could see what I was talking about. That always takes additional time because I crop my photos, edit them, enhance them, and then shrink their resolution. As you can imagine, a simple response to someone's question winds up taking a lot of time and effort on my part.

It's hard trying to be as accurate as possible and also trying to share as much information as I can. Maybe for most of you this is a piece of cake, but for me, an engineer by trade, it is a hard line to walk. I would prefer to share everything since I have spent my entire career doing so, but that is impossible for me to do in my personal life. If Disney would share their information, it would make all of our lives so much easier. Come on, Disney, get that on-line database of photos and videos rolling. Put us out of our misery.

Am I a regular poster?! Am I one of the "cool girls" ?! We're not gone, we're all just in the NJ brides thread!!! You know that those of us from Jersey make up a big bulk of WDW visitors...I read that statistic somewhere!! We're loud, we like to have fun...it makes sense!! As for me...I'm just a busy nutcase lately and the wedding is getting here much faster than I had anticipated...we still have to organize the ceremony, get programs made, try not to murder the invitations guy who keeps telling us "just a day or so" and that was almost three weeks ago!!! Figure out if we are going to rent a tent for the ceremony or not, do we need one for the string quartet? Money just keeps rolling out and not in!!!

I'm still here every now and again. Been starting a new job so I haven't been able to frequent as much as I did while planning the wedding last year! Wish I could frequent more...I'll work on it because there is nothing better than chatting about Disney Weddings!!!

I'm still around. We went to Animal Kingdom for the first time last week and had tons of fun! I've been slacking on the wedding plannning, because we are planning a big move, but I'll pick it back up again soon.

I wouldn't want to be so bold as to assume I'm one of those "regular posters" but I just started a new job which is a big adjustment from what I used to do and is taking a lot of time. And like hiwaygal said, I lurk a lot but with all the changes and since our wedding was last year, I don't always have something constructive to add. But I do really enjoying reading about everyone's experiences, seeing pictures, etc. I just enjoy weddings!

We went through one of these lulls back around Christmas time. I know I haven't been posting as often, but that is just because of thesis and the fact that the wedding is almost here!
I think part of it is the fact that the weather is getting nicer out and anyone who lives in a climate where they had a long, cold winter, wants to get outside. May is also the beginning of wedding seasons, so everyone is off getting hitched or watching people get married! It'll probably pick up soon, but I noticed too that some regulars haven't been on lately.

I don't know if I'm one of those "regulars" but I'm over on the CB a lot b/c we just bought a new house and I've had some issues that I've been getting help with over there. We're also really busy with trying to get the new house remodled, selling another, and moving. ALL of our wedding planning is on the back burner. I haven't thought about it in the past few weeks but I'll get back on it when we get settled. I hope all of you are doing great and that the planning is coming along!

I did not mean to be exclusive or anything- it just seems like the board is slow, but there are some who have not been around in a while like Codie, AshleyDukes and some of the rest of you who have popped on to this thread, I miss seeing you post! Hope all is well. i taught my last class as graduate student today! i have one final next week and then I have a MS in Kinesiology...well really social psychology of sport, but it is in what used to be PE, but now Kinesiology.

Allison It is so nice of you to miss me!! I find that work sometimes consumes me and I can't lurk as much. Hopefully that won't always be true. It's nice to be missed though and even nicer to know that I help a little! I'll try to come around more regularly

I don't know if I am one of the regulars but, I'm still around too- just have been busy with school, and work cutting my hours- so I am looking for a new job and on top of that taking more classes this summer and doing an internship of 150 hours at the courthouse.

Not really a regular poster(not getting married for a least another 18 months) but I just wanted to pop in and say that I've had to restrict myself from these boards or I will never get any schoolwork done!!!!!
*BTW allisonswonderland - I noticed you're getting you MS in Kinesiology, I also have my last final tomorrow and getting my BS in Kinesiology. Graduation's Saturday!!!!!!! Small world huh?

We were at Disney for two weeks and just got back over the weekend--so I'm still trying to get my act together, get the laundry done, get the kids back to school schedules, sports,etc., oh, and go back to work! LOL

Not sure if i would count as a regular poster but ive really been swamped the last few weeks. First of all with my job relocating due to an explosion, then moving house, then getting laid off from my job and then my trip to WDW.
