Kirby, thanks I received it yesterday and it's great! (Sorry, I didn't get a chance to post last night).

I received a Tastes & Tales From Texas cookbook and a very cute kitchen bunny! The bunny is very happy sitting in my kitchen window.

My sis lives in Texas (Lake Travis, outside Austin) and I have some Texas cook books that she got me, but I didn't have this one. We love TexMex food and there are some great recipes that I can't wait to try. There is one for Snapper Throats that my DS15 thought was soooo funny. But he's begging me to make the Circuit Rider Chili....

Kirby, thanks I received it yesterday and it's great!

I'm glad that it arrived so quickly! I wasn't expecting it to get there until today. I sat one evening before I mailed it just looking through and reading all the trivia in there. Was some interesting stuff and a number of recipes looked really good. I may just have to pick one up for myself.

I had recieved two cookbooks today from Kathleen-sorry I don't know your DIS name.The cookbooks are from Louisiana so there are all kinds of recipes in there from Sausage and Ham Jambalaya, Walnut Stuffing, to Orange Cookies. There are many recipes that you wouldn't usually find here in Hawaii, so both cookbooks look very interesting. Thank you very much Kathleen.

Recommendations-Have you heard of Sam Choy? He has several different books, but there are lots to choose from here. What island are you visiting?

I received a bright, green package from Pooh Girl 71 today. Inside was:

a Holy Chow cookbook by the St. John's Episcopal Church in Hopewell, Virginia
two pencils from where she works
a bookmark
a Virginia is for Lovers bumper sticker
and five beautiful post cards

Mine will go out in the morning. Priority Mail to the Northeast. I found the book that I wanted and I got a signed copy! Of course, now, I want to get myself a copy too!
