regal sun resort questions

anyone been recently ? will be going in first week of march. planning on MK on tuesday march 2nd, do you think it will be busy at park ? also could we actually walk to DTD to catch bus to wilderness lodge then take ferry to MK ? thanks !!

I can't comment on the park crowds for March 2, but I can't imagine they would be as bad as later in the month. As far as Regal Sun is concerned, it is the closest hotel to DtD and is definately within 5-10mins. walk, depending on how old your kids are. You could take a bus from there to any resort, but I would suggest the contemporary or Grand Floridian (might be the same bus even) instead of WL.

By the time you get to WL and then get a boat or bus to MK, you could be 1-1.5 hrs of transit time. It could be shorter if you are lucky to catch everything right away, but that's really lucky. With the CR you can just walk over to MK, about the same distance as regal sun to DtD 5mins at a reasonable adult pace. With GF, the monorail goes directly to MK and is the shortest route of all the monorail resorts.

We stayed there over Christmas
It was a very, very short walk to DTD...and very close to the pick up for the resort busses. It was a maybe, maybe 5 minute walk from our room to the entrance to DTD (marketplace entrance). We didn't use the Disney busses to go to the resorts--didn't even dawn on me as an option as we had a car. But now thinking about it might have been easier our first night than trying to figure out how to get to WL for dinner

Make sure you get a tower room and not one in the annex I was moved three times after finding bugs in three different beds. I asked the guy at the front desk if he was aware of a bedbug problem at the hotel and he gave me a I cannot confirm or deny answer. We left after one night and I still haven't gotten a refund even though the manager agreed (that was Sept 09, I have given up). He was rude even when I told him why I was leaving and that he could talk to housekeeping because I showed her the bugs in two of the three rooms. He didn't apologize either. It was terrible! I hear the tower rooms are much, much better. If you end of in the wings make sure you check things out good, you can see them crawling on the headboards...yuck!!!

thanks guys for the heads up. we booked tower room with disney view. i can't believe bed bugs were in your room, that is unexcusible. you should have gotten refund, free disney tickets and the penthouse suite for free lol. we are looking foward to a few days at Mk with our 2 yr. old. but if we run into a problem of that magnitude, we will find another place asap.
