Regal Palms or Windsor Hills

I think I finally have it narrowed down to these two resorts. There is sooo much info to process. Any recommendations one way or the other?

I have never stayed at Regal Palms, but have been at Windsor Hills twice before. 11 days in 5/07 and 14 days in 10/07. I love it and can't think of even one negative thing to say about it. We are usually in Orlando because DH is on business, so my kids and I have spent lots of time at the resort itself; especially at the pool, playground, and movie theater. We have a third trip booked for November. If you have specific questions, I'd be glad to answer.

I have stayed at Regal Palms before and I would again if the price were right. We paid $600 for a week and that had all the taxes included. Since then, the owner has gone up on her prices to almost $750 for the week and the resort now charges $10/nt resort fee. I personally do not think it is worth that price. The pool is very nice and we had a blast in the lazy river, but it is kind of small. Teens might not like the pool and might think it was babyish. My kids loved it, but they were 7,5,5, and 1 at the time. We went in February and I couldn't imagine what the crowds at the pool area in the summer heat. Regal Palms gets so-so reviews on trip adviser and even on these boards. I have not heard of anything bad about Windsor Hills though. I have never stayed at WH, but would like to some day because everyone raves about it. If your budget allows for WH, then I would go for it. If you can save hundreds of dollars by staying at Regal Palms, then you will probably enjoy it. I would make sure you rent from an owner that gets good reviews though as some people have not had good experiences there. This is the owner we rented through and we were very satisfied.

Their townhouse was very close to the pool (one block away). Some of the townhomes are much further away so make sure you find out the location. There is another owner, Simon, that I think others have rented from. That is all I know though.

I have stayed at both and overall would recommend Windsor Hills over Regal Palms, although RP has the better pool because it includes a lazy river and has a better slide IMO. Windsor Hills' pool is very nice though.

I have stayed in both RP and WH within the last 3 years. Hands down Windsor Hills is much better. RP has a great pool but if you read the reviews on trip advisor, it is hit or miss whether you will have problems. Windsor Hills is a new resort and better maintained.
